Our Duke of Edinburgh course

Underdog International has created the DofE ‘Social media and fundraising course’ especially for budding animal welfare activists and those who feel passionately about our environment and the way we treat animals and each other.

This course covers various DofE listed activities that can be part of your wider Bronze, Silver or Gold programme. The course covers activities listed under both ‘volunteering’ and ‘skills’, such as:

  • Working with the environment or animals (Animal Welfare)

  • Media and communication (Journalism, Vlogging, Blogging, Film & Video Making, Newsletter production)

  • Life skills (Digital Lifestyle, Event Planning, Young Enterprise)

This course also meets the criteria for the CAS (Creativity, activity, service) element of the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.

What you will learn

During the course, you will learn about communications, design, copywriting, planning a schedule and project management, collaboration and influencing, and researching.

With a mixture of online resources and helpful advice from the Underdog Team, this activity guides you to achieve life skills and volunteering expertise that will enhance your communication, digital, writing and entrepreneurial skills.

This is an amazing opportunity for young people to learn about social media planning and also animal welfare and charitable activities across different countries.
