Thank you for considering fostering a dog! Due to fluctuating adoption rates, we are now seeking foster homes more than ever and you could be an integral part of an Underdog’s journey from shelter to sofa. You are also helping save two lives when you foster: the dog you foster, and the dog we’re able to rescue in their place once they leave the shelter.
We often seek fosters for dogs that have been overlooked for a long time, black dogs (statistically they are the hardest coloured dog to rehome), a puppy who’s siblings have all been adopted and they’ll otherwise get left behind, or dogs that we feel would really benefit from a home setting as they’re shut down in the shelter.
Before you apply to join our fostering network please consider that sometimes we can’t confirm how long a foster home will be needed for a specific dog. It’s important for the wellbeing of the dogs we help that we provide them with as much consistency as possible, so please only apply to foster if you’re able to dedicate an adequate amount of time to fostering.
