Need help from an Underdog Unity volunteer?

Unity volunteer.jpg

We have set up the ‘Underdog Unity’ initiative which is a network of vetted and insured volunteers who can support dog-owning neighbours in need.

In light of the potential impacts of the coronavirus outbreak on our family, friends and neighbours, this network of experienced volunteers can help walk dogs and care for dogs, should their owners not be able.

Do you need help? What to do.

1.      Complete the request for help form. Please complete the request form with your details, so that we can assign the appropriate local volunteer to help you.

2.      Matching you with your Unity volunteer. Our volunteers undergo an interview process with us to ensure they have the right skills and experience to care for your dog.

3.      Insured and vetted. All our Unity volunteers sign a contract that sets out their responsibility as a volunteer, and have been provided with guidance and training policies to ensure they understand their role.

4.      How they can help. Depending on your needs, our volunteers can help with walking your dog, shopping for food and supplies, taking your dog to the vets, and if for some reason you are unable to look after your dog for a period of time, they can foster them for you in their own homes.

*Underdog Unity cannot support you if you’re looking for care for your dog whilst you go on holiday. This initiative is for vulnerable people and those in desperate situations only. Please search for dog sitters and boarding kennels in your area if you’re seeking care for your dog whilst you’re away*
