Fansee
My name is: Fansee Mizu
I came from: China
Now I live in: North London
My favourite things are: Sitting outside on the deck observing the outside world, saying hello to my puppy friend Cliff (his owner lifts him up over the fence so I can see him), my stuffed mouse Pawsley, and diffusing arguments by sitting on people to calm them down

Fansee’s story
It was back in August 2019. Sam and I had just got married. I had always wanted a dog, having grown up with them my whole life, but Sam was, and still is, a cat person. After having begged him enough, we agreed that once we got married we would start looking. I was adamant it had to be a rescue but his only stipulation was that the dog was a Samoyed. I don’t think he ever thought we would come across Fansee on the Underdog Instagram page, only 3 weeks after we got married. She was cute, smiley, murky white and furry. We were both sold!
The process was surprisingly so straightforward. Eve was so communicative and honest, and Leanne was so informative and reassuring. Fansee was all we could think about, constantly looking at the Slaughterhouse Survivors Instagram for glimpses of her smile! We very much appreciated the help from Alex the behaviourist, who has been an ongoing support, and who literally spelt out all the expected and unexpected things that may or may not happen when Fansee arrived. She taught us to be patient and to give her the space and time to learn to love us the way we instantly had, before we had even met her.
When we did meet Fansee, off the M25 at a service station with an aptly named noodle bar called Mizu, we were utterly overwhelmed with it all. But from that day until now, Fansee has grown into the most loving and gentle pup. None of that would have been possible without Eve, Leanne and Alex or the girls back at the Safehouse in Harbin, China.
