About Lamelo

Lamelo is one of six puppies born in the shelter to Sally, a Hound/Lab mix who’s done a brilliant job raising them. Lamelo is now looking for a home where he can continue to grow and develop into a confident, sociable young dog. He’s expected to grow into a medium to large adult.

Lamelo is the most reserved of his littermates, with a sensitive and gentle personality. He can be a little shy around people and tends to hang back when things feel overwhelming. Among his siblings, he’s often the one who needs a little extra space and support. Because he’s quieter, he sometimes gets overlooked or pushed around a bit by the more confident pups. Lamelo is incredibly sweet, and with the right encouragement and plenty of calm, positive experiences, he’ll come into his own. He just needs a family willing to give him the time to build trust and grow in confidence. The shelter is a busy, high adrenaline setting, and often the more reserved dogs can only properly flourish in a home with security, consistency and 1-1 focus.

Lamelo has spent all of his life so far in a shelter, so his new home will be a completely different environment. He’ll need time, structure and a consistent approach to help him adjust. Lamelo is social with other dogs and plays well with his littermates and other pups at the shelter.

Because he’s still young and growing quickly, we recommend a home with children aged six or over. He would do best in a quieter area with access to a secure garden and local walks. He’s not used to the noise and movement of busy city life and may need time to adjust to anything unfamiliar.

Lamelo will need continued socialisation, gentle training, and regular activity to help him become a confident and balanced adult dog, especially as right now he’s a little on the subdued side.
