About Parker
Parker is a beautiful black and tan mixed breed with a handsome, expressive face and the most charming little eyebrow dots. Like many dogs in Cyprus, he was found as a stray and brought into the shelter, one of so many who have ended up in rescue through no fault of their own.
Parker is a larger sized dog with a confident, fun loving personality. He is currently sharing his kennel with Otto, and the two get on very well - Parker brings the energy, Otto brings the calm, and they’ve struck a nice balance together. Parker is sociable and affectionate, keen to meet new people and always happy to be involved in whatever’s going on.
Parker has plenty of energy and enthusiasm and would suit an active home where he can enjoy plenty of exercise and exploring. He would be a great fit for someone who enjoys walking, hiking or simply spending time outdoors. He loves being on the move and would really thrive in a home that can offer him both mental and physical stimulation.
Parker is a people focused dog who enjoys attention and affection, from anyone and everyone! While he does like to be the centre of attention (which you can totally see in the photos!), he’s also learning to share space and time with others nicely, and has shown he can live well alongside other dogs. That said, he’d be equally happy as the only dog in a home as he’s a confident, self assured dog.
Due to his size and bouncy nature, we recommend a home with children aged 8+, unless younger children are already confident and comfortable around larger breeds.
Parker is clever and eager to please, and would benefit from some ongoing training to channel his energy and help him settle into a new environment. He responds well to people and enjoys learning, so this should be a positive and enjoyable process with the right guidance. He thrives on some positive reinforcement and loves treats!
Parker would do best in a semi-rural home with access to a secure garden and an active lease of life. He has heaps of potential to blossom into a loyal, fun and active companion for a family ready to include him in their day to day life. It’s clear that he just longs to be wanted, and he deserves his own family so very much.
