About Whisky

Whisky and Muffin were found on the motorway in Cyprus together, running scared and at risk of being hit by cars. Luckily they were coaxed to safety before anything tragic happened, but unsurprisingly they weren’t microchipped and it appeared no one was looking for them, so they’ve ended up in the pound. Presumed brothers, Muffin and Whisky are a gorgeous pair looking for separate homes with loving families.

Whisky is a very happy go lucky boy with a big heart and a cheerful personality. He’s more playful and active than his brother, and he really enjoys being outdoors, exploring, running and following his nose for interesting scents. He’s learning lead manners, but will sometimes pull out of excitement, so would benefit from someone who’s got a little strength behind them whilst he’s still learning.

Whisky is great with other dogs and doesn’t have any issues with any of the other pound residents. He’s happy to play out in the yard with them and loves being chased, or being the chaser! As he’s a little higher in energy, he’d welcome a playmate, but is also confident enough as the only dog in the household.

Whisky is around 18 months old and although he’s quite a short dog he’s a solid build and weighs around 17kg. He’s unlikely to get any bigger than this now. We believe he and his brother have some Beagle/Hound in their mix given their appearance, size and their keen nose! Whisky is looking for an outdoorsy home with a little garden, ideally based slightly outside of the city and where he has access to lots of lovely walks and green spaces. We think he could be quite happy in a home with children aged 7+, but he has not been tested with cats.

Whisky has a clean bill of health and is ready to travel once he finds his forever home.
