This is Maggie and she is a 2 year old English Springer Spaniel. She lives with her family, which includes 2 golden retrievers and 2 cats! Maggie has been with her family since she was 8 weeks old and she has a very kind, gentle nature! Lisa, her owner, was expecting a very bouncy, boisterous spaniel but was totally blown away by her calming nature!

Maggie has an extraordinary ability to recognise when someone needs some support and she absolutely loves cuddles and attention!Maggie has been coming into school now for a year, working as a trainee therapy dog. She has been supporting children with their friendships, confidence and mental health and well-being, and has had an amazing impact!

Now Maggie is fully recognised as a therapy dog, she will continue to work in school but she will be developing her role by working with children with their reading, whole class visits and learning!Maggie loves coming to ‘work’ and gets extremely excited! She also loves to go for a walk and chase birds! She loves tennis balls and playing with other dogs.
