My favourite things are: Lying in the sun, rich tea biscuits, running on the beach, walks, chasing birds, attention, Sunday dinner, tug-of-war, going on holiday and ice cream!

Bolt’s story

It’s been 15 months since the amazing Bolt joined us and he couldn’t have been a better addition to the family. There was just something special about him when I saw his photo and I wasn’t wrong.

He’s just so loving, kind, calm, affectionate and gentle and so popular with everyone who meets him - he has quite a fan club! So many people say they would have him…. But I’m afraid that’s never going to happen!! Too integral to our family.

He joined our older rescue Bryan (who arrived a couple months before), and our 16 year old cat Bobby, and he is so caring towards them both and I couldn’t be more in love! He has been a complete success. 

We’ve just very recently taken on a third dog, Bella who is a very nervous girl who is taking a while to settle but Bolt is showing her his usual kindness and they have totally bonded. He showers her in constant kisses! We’ve been on several holidays with Bolt and Bryan and they take new places in their stride. He loves chasing deer and rabbits and walks in the woods and on beaches. For first time dog ownership we have been the luckiest family ever. 

Life is different but infinitely better with dogs. I’m such a massive advocate for rescue and never tire of telling Bolt’s story. Nothing makes me happier than when people comment what a happy dogs we have. Thank you Underdog International for showing us Bolt. We are eternally grateful!
