Pablo’s story

The dog that made a house a home

We first saw Pablo on the Adoptapaws website, who were sharing his profile on behalf of Underdog. It was love at first sight and we immediately got in contact to apply to adopt him.

After our initial chat with the lovely Bix we learned that Pablo was already in the country due to his original adoption offer falling through last minute. We felt like it was fate after learning he was in kennels just twenty minutes down the road from of us! After passing all the necessary checks we went to pick him up and he immediately made himself at home with no issues….well barring a stand off with Hamish the cow (a cuddly toy doorstop)!

We’re constantly saying how lucky we are to have this boy in our lives he’s such a placid dog, he loves spending time with us but equally when he wants some alone time he just takes himself off to his bedroom to chill. He’s great with our young nieces who insist on playing vets with him and he just lays there and lets them play.

We do need to confess one thing though, Pablo has got quite the reputation around our village as the perfect pub dog. He loves going into our local as he gets endless attention and treats from the barmaids he can often be seen “dragging” us in for a pint at the weekends!

In all seriousness though we knew after moving into our own home together that there was one thing missing. We’re so glad that we went down the route of adoption as Pablo Stavros (he insisted on a Greek middle name) the perfect pub dog, and he 100% completes our little family.
