About Ari
Little Ari was rescued from a countryside road where she had given birth to four puppies. The whole family were malnourished and starving by the time they were spotted, but thankfully rescue efforts got to them quickly and they were taken to safety. Over the winter the family were well cared for, fattened up and given the security they needed whilst they recovered.
Ari is now ready to find her forever home. She looks like a tiny little fox and weighs only around 8kg. She’s thought to be rough two years old, and won’t get any bigger than she is now so would be ideal for someone looking for a smaller sized pup to welcome into their home.
Despite her small size, Ari is an active dog and enjoys being on the go. She is curious, bold and cheerful, and she loves making new friends with the volunteers who visit the shelter. She’s happy to be handled, cuddled and picked up, and she’s learning to walk nicely on the lead too. She loves her walks and gets very excites to go out for a little adventure.
Ari would welcome a family home where she can enjoy a fairly active lease of life, and she would really love having her own garden to potter about in. It doesn’t need to be big, but having her own space would be great for her considering her love of the outdoors. Ari is great with the children who visit the shelter and she loves being fussed over by them. We think she would be a good match for a home with kids aged 6+.
We feel that Ari would be better suited to a semi-rural environment rather than the city. She’d love having nearby parks and nature trails to explore, or even the woods, or the beach. As long as she can embrace her little wilderness explorer side, she’ll be happy! Ari is also friendly with other dogs at the shelter and could live alongside a resident pup, but is definitely confident to live on her own too.
Ari is currently based in Bosnia and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
