About Grey
Grey was surrendered to the pound by his former owners who no longer wanted him. Typical of many dog owners in Cyprus, Grey was not integrated into the family home and lived his life outside before being abandoned. He wasn’t in good condition and was very underweight, withdrawn and had a lot of scars and marks on his body and legs. He’d probably not had the best life before he came to us, but we’re hoping for a better future for him.
Grey is a very sweet boy with an elegant stature. He carries himself gracefully and is a gentle, friendly and kind hearted dog. He’s quite submissive with both new people and new dogs, and is not the type to challenge another dog - he would rather walk away from the situation. He tries his best to make friends with everyone he can and loves being in the company of anyone who shows him an ounce of kindness.
Grey is a very well behaved boy and is always eager to please. He is good in the car, great on the lead, and keeps his kennel as clean as he can. He’s not demanding in his need for attention or exercise, and is just happy to be in your presence, or enjoying a gentle stroll down the lane. He would suit a calm home atmosphere outside of the city where he has access to his own garden as he likes spending time outside.
Grey is really good with the other dogs in the pound and enjoys group walks. He is friendly and happy to be part of a little pack, but could also cope in the home where he was the only resident dog. He could do with a little reassurance and confidence boosting, but given the time and consistency that any dog needs to integrate into a new environment and lifestyle, we think he will blossom in due course.
Grey hasn’t had the opportunity to spend a lot of time around children, but shows no behaviours that we’re concerned about so we feel kids aged 8+ would be suitable for him. He has not been tested with cats, but in a home with confident cats and a savvy adopter it’s possible they could learn to live together based on his character, as we haven’t observed any prey drive. Grey is a calm boy with a good heart and he would relish the opportunity to become someone’s companion, so we would love to see him get the forever home he truly deserves.
Grey is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. He is ready to travel once he finds his forever home.
Please note, any mention of breed is nothing more than an educated guess based on what we know about the dog, their appearance, behaviour, and common breeds in their country of origin. We can never guarantee breed specifics, nor can we confirm the exact age of our dogs, unless they were born in our care. Age estimations are made by our vets based on the development of the dog, their general health and energy, and assessing their teeth.
