About Laura

Laura is one of a litter of six puppies born in the shelter to their mum Sally, a Hound/Lab mix. She’s now old enough to be rehomed and is looking for a home where she can grow into a confident, well adjusted dog. Like her siblings, Laura is expected to reach a medium to large size and will benefit from a fairly active lifestyle.

Laura is one of the calmer pups in the litter, with a thoughtful, observant nature. She likes to take in her surroundings before getting involved, and can be a little unsure in unfamiliar situations. She enjoys affection but can take a moment to settle with new people, especially in busy environments. Once she knows you're gentle and kind (and ideally carrying treats!), her trust follows quickly. She’s playful, affectionate and always ready for a quiet cuddle.

She’s grown up in the shelter so far and hasn’t experienced life in a home yet. Her adopters will need to guide her through this transition with patience, consistency, and a commitment to her long term development. Laura is sociable, playful and curious, and she enjoys interacting with both people and dogs.

We suggest homes with children aged six or older, as puppies and very young children can be a lot to manage together. She would be best suited to a quieter home environment outside of a busy city, with direct access to a garden and space to learn and play.

Laura will need ongoing socialisation and basic training, but she’s a bright, friendly puppy with all the potential to grow into a loyal and well rounded companion.
