Etta’s story
We rescued Etta in the middle of lockdown 2020. We’d been looking on UK rescue sites for a couple of months and finally came across Underdog International. The second I saw Etta and her huge ears, I just knew she was the one for me.
She arrived in the UK literally a week later, meeting us in a service station on the M25. The second we got her home, it was like she knew she’d found her people. She was immediately silly and loving, wanting all the belly rubs we had to offer.
Now over a year later, she’s still just as silly and loves her belly rubs even more but she’s definitely a lot bigger! Like a lot of lockdown pups, we’re still working on her socialisation skills - she’s definitely happier with just her humans than strangers - but she’s so smart and eager to please that I have no doubt we’ll get there.
Etta’s confidence has gained every day, from a Cypriot dog who hated the English rain to a water-obsessed, agility-loving adventure dog. We love going on trips to the beach and have just started camping together!
We can’t thank Eve, Leanne and the whole Underdog team enough for finding our little (big) girl and giving us a lifetime of fun ahead.
