Rosie’s story

We first came across Rosie when Eve sent us a photo of her as a puppy in Cyprus and we were instantly taken by her.

I remember driving to the airport to collect Rosie and watching all of the rescue dogs being unloaded in their travel crates. It was one of the best moments of our lives meeting Rosie. She was so happy to see us - it was almost like we had always known each other.

Eve was brilliant, she kept in touch with us from the moment that the pups were loaded onto the plane with messages and photos.

Rosie is one of the kindest, sweetest dogs that I have met – there is an assumption that rescue dogs are aggressive and have behavioural problems, but I can’t express how my experience and many of my friends experiences with rescue dogs have been the total opposite!

There have definitely been some hurdles to overcome and adjust to but with a little love and time, it’s amazing how such a strong bond can form.

I have a huge amount of respect for the work that Eve and Underdog do – and I want every one of them to know how much it means to everyone who has adopted a dog through Underdog. Rosie has changed our lives and we love her more with every day that passes.
