Theo’s story

On the 1st November 2022 our previous Jack Russell mix, Alfie, passed away at sixteen years old and for the first time in my life, I was left without a dog. We were extremely sad and lonely, until we found we were ready for another dog. We started looking at different websites till we found Underdog International. Then we found Theo. Theo was being rehomed by We Are Dogs UK via their website.

His original name was Theros, Greek, but for some it was a bit of a mouthful! And after what felt like ages, we made contact with his foster family and we agreed to meet! In February 2023, we drove an hour away to see him. When we finally saw him, he was a little skittish at first, but by the end of the day, he was settled. We would take Theo home.

What we didn’t realise is that Theo is reactive to other dogs. And from then on, we have been training him and he is getting a lot better. We never would regret our choice of adopting Theo.
