About Amy

Amy was brought into the shelter after being found as a stray, but we’re convinced this gorgeous girl must have had a home at some point in her life. She is so friendly, trusting, keen to please and comfortable around people, and the ease at which she responds to tone and basic commands suggests she’s probably once been owned. Unfortunately without a microchip, it’s impossible to determine where she came from, and no one has come looking for her.

Amy is a young dog and estimated to be around a year old. She is a medium sized girl and is a very obedient dog who loves being in the company of humans. She walks beautifully on the lead and is very considerate of guiding her handler where she’d like to go rather than pulling with all her strength. She is gentle, affectionate, highly trainable, and very sociable.

Amy shares her kennel with a male dog at the moment and gets on well with him. He’s quite a confident character, as is she, but the pair of the read each other really well and there’s no fighting over attention. Amy is quietly confident rather than being a very overenthusiastic character, but she is very forthcoming with new people if it means she gets some cuddles!

Amy’s adaptable nature means she has the capacity to slot in well to a number of home settings, but being a Husky mix we think she would really enjoy and benefit from a fairly active household. She would love a home with a garden, and she can live either with or without other dogs. She is gentle, patient and good tempered around children and we’d be comfortable with her living alongside kids aged 5+ as long as they’re not nervous around bigger dogs. Amy is a clever dog and deserves a family who are keen to do some training with her as she really loves to learn.

Amy is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
