About Lucie

Lucie was surrendered to a shelter by her family when they felt they couldn’t give her the care she needed due to their uncertain living circumstances. They really wanted her to receive the best care possible and felt she deserved a more stable home. Hopefully we can help her find a loving new family where she can enjoy a new, fresh start.

Lucie is around three years old and is a beautiful girl with a gentle, calm and affectionate nature. She thrives on human companionship and simply adores being around people. She’s very cuddly and will happily climb into your lap like a puppy to just be close and watch the world go by. Lucie walks very nicely on the lead and whilst she’s interested in her surroundings and checking out the world around her, she also sticks close to her humans. She feels safe with those she trusts and forms strong bonds with people quickly. She would therefore make a devoted companion in a new home.

Lucie is also great with other dogs and socialises really well with them. She currently shares her kennel with another dog and the pair of them get along really well. She has no issues sharing her space or the affection from volunteers, and we think she could quite happily live alongside another resident dog. Although Lucie has a very gentle nature, she is quietly confident once she feels safe, so we also think she would be fine as the only dog in the household too.

Lucie is very gentle with children and when they’re calm and predictable she feels very content in their company. Louder, boisterous children might be a little overwhelming for her, but there is genuinely not a bad bone in her body, so we wouldn’t expect any negative reaction from her, she’d just feel uncomfortable. We’d therefore prefer Lucie to be homed alongside children aged 6+. She has also been exposed briefly to cats and not shown much reaction, so a home with confident cats could be considered.

Lucie would be best suited to a home outside the city with a relaxed lifestyle and lots of human company. She wouldn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods of time, and she would be happiest in a home that had access to a garden, even if it’s only small. This gentle girl is going to blossom in the right home and we would love to help her find it.

Lucie is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
