About Aria

Meet Aria, a stunning girl with bright blue eyes from Bosnia. Before her rescue, Aria spent an extended period living on the streets of Bosnia, and while we’re not sure if she ever had a family, it’s clear that she’s more than ready to find one now!

Aria is a medium sized dog and full of energy. She has a definite love of adventure and she would thrive in an active, outdoorsy home. Her enthusiasm and fun-loving nature would make her the perfect companion for a family that enjoys long walks, hikes, and plenty of play time. She also loves chasing after a tennis ball, and has impressively mastered the art of giving them back so you can continue the game, something that shelter dogs often initially struggle with as they want something of their own to keep hold of. Aria is happy to let go however and trusts you to throw the ball again for her!

Aria’s sociable and friendly personality shines when she’s around people, and she’s also great with children. While she tries her hardest not to get too overexcited, her naturally bouncy nature is something to keep in mind and she therefore might be a little boisterous around very small kids. She’s happiest when she’s part of the action and would love a family that can match that energy and provide lots of mental and physical stimulation.

In terms of other dogs, Aria gets along well with the other shelter residents and enjoys group walks, especially with those that share similar energetic traits to her. She is happy to spend time on her own though, and would be fine as the only dog in the household. However, due to her high energy levels, she wouldn’t be suited to a home with cats.

Aria would do best in a semi-rural home with direct access to a garden. Having spent so much of her life outside, adjusting to indoor life might be a bit of a learning curve at first. But with time, patience, and lots of reassurance, she’ll adapt and grow more comfortable in her new surroundings.

Given her energy levels and strength, we’d prefer her new family to have some previous dog ownership experience to ensure confident handling. Aria’s bright eyes and ever-wagging tail are just waiting for the right home to bring out the very best in her and we know she’s going to be a fantastic new family member.

Aria is currently based in Bosnia and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
