About Jetta

Gorgeous girl Jetta was found as a stray during hunting season and brought into the shelter. She is a truly beautiful young girl and is possibly a mix of Labrador and Pointer. Estimated to be only around a year old she’s really just a youngster and is looking for a family home where she can thrive. She would absolutely shine outside of the shelter.

Jetta is a leggy girl so she stands quite tall and we’d consider her to be a similar size to that of a Labrador, but less chunky. She has quite an athletic build and would love a relatively active lifestyle. She gets so little exercise in a shelter setting and you can tell she would just love to be going out on long walks. She does however burn a lot of energy playing with her kennel mates, two males that she loves. She is a goofy, silly girl and loves a but of rough and tumble with the boys, so we know for sure that she could definitely share her home with an existing resident dog. Equally, she is a quietly confident and human oriented dog, so would be fine on her own too.

Despite her clowning around, Jetta is definitely quite a smart dog. She learned to sit and give paw in the shelter almost instantly and responds really well to positive reinforcement training. She would love to learn some basic commands with her new family, and given her keen nose she’d probably also enjoy scent work or similar enrichment activities.

Jetta loves people and is very affectionate, even with those she only met five minutes ago. She is also very friendly with children, but simply because of her size we’d recommend kids aged 8+ unless they’re confident around dogs. Jetta would be best suited to a fairly active home, based semi-rurally. She’d also like a garden where she can have her zoomies and stretch her long legs. She is such a loving, loyal girl, and we’re confident that she’s going to bring so much fun and joy into her new home.

Jetta is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
