About Lea

Lovely Lea was found as a stray at the beginning of the year and despite her being in great condition, no one came looking for her or responded to adverts about her being found. Sadly, without a microchip, it was impossible to locate anyone who might have been missing her, so she’s now still in the pound, waiting for her second chance.

Lea is a very affectionate, friendly and lively little girl. She without a doubt has a spring in her step, which lead us to believe she was only a youngster, but the vet believes Lea is actually around 4/5 years old. Lea is of the opinion every human she meets is her best friend, and she doesn’t have a clue about stranger danger. She loves being with people and is a very human oriented dog.

Since arriving in the pound, Lea has charmed everyone she’s met as she’s so happy to see you. She has already learned to walk nicely on the lead, and it’s very obvious that she loves being outdoors. She gets so excited when the lead comes out and is always raring to go. She would absolutely love an active family who spend a lot of time outdoors and are looking for a companion to share those experiences with. She has lots of stamina and could definitely keep up on long hikes and rambles!

Lea has no issues around other dogs and gets along with the other shelter pups really well. She’s playful, cheeky and friendly, enjoys instigating fun and is happy to walk alongside other dogs too. She’s so far not shown us any behaviours that we have been at all concerned about - she’s a lovely girl. She has also not shown any interest in cats when she’s met them, although because she’s an energetic dog we would still recommend confident cats only, as more skittish ones darting away could evoke a chase (as with practically any dog). We also think she would be a great addition to a home with children aged 5+.

Lea is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
