About Mischa
Mischa and Raina were thrown over the wall of a kennels in November 2024 when they were only young pups. We don’t know if they’d been found as strays, or they were simply unwanted, but luckily for them they were abandoned in the right place with the right people.
The girls are sisters and are only just starting to become a little more independent. For the first few weeks they were glued to each other, but as they’ve become more settled they’re becoming braver and coming into their own personalities. At around eight months old now, the girls will be large sized adult dogs, but they are both complete softies.
Mischa is a shy girl with a more reserved nature. She tends to hang back whilst Raina takes the lead, but she’s getting a little better each and every day. Routine and consistency will be the key in helping Mischa feel settled in a new home. When she knows what to expect you can visibly see her feeling much more relaxed and confident. There is not a single bad bone in her body and when she does trust you, she’s magic. She’s so gentle, soft and sweet, she just needs reassurance and confidence building. With the right person, she will blossom into a completely different dog eventually.
Just like Raina, when it comes to interacting with other dogs Mischa is very playful and loves playing out in the paddock with her sister and the other kennel dogs. She mixes into a group well and loves to be a part of the fun. She also has quite the burst of speed on her once she gets going and spends a good deal of time being chased by Raina who always wants to steal whichever toy she has!
Mischa gets excited for a treat, but she’ll definitely be more apprehensive to take it from someone she doesn’t know - fair enough, stranger danger is wise. Once she sees Raina confirming the coast is clear and there’s nothing to worry about, she gets a bit braver. With this in mind, we think Mischa would definitely be happier in a home with another dog who can provide her with the reassurance and guidance that we, as a different species, can’t deliver in the same way.
Mischa would be best suited to a semi-rural home with a relatively calm household atmosphere. She needs a home with a garden and a moderately active lifestyle, and someone dedicated to giving her the patience and understanding she needs as she adjusts to a companion lifestyle. She also doesn’t yet have very much experience on the lead so that will be something her new family will need to work on, but it will come with time and routine.
Mischa is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
