About Raina

Raina and Mischa were thrown over the wall of a kennels in November 2024 when they were only young pups. We don’t know if they’d been found as strays, or they were simply unwanted, but luckily for them they were abandoned in the right place with the right people.

The girls are sisters and are only just starting to become a little more independent. For the first few weeks they were glued to each other, but as they’ve become more settled they’re becoming braver and coming into their own personalities. At around eight months old now, the girls will be large sized adult dogs, but they are both complete softies.

Raina is the more confident of the two without question, but she’s still a little shy. She’s much more likely to come and say hi than her sister, and once she becomes a little more familiar with you, she’s just adorable. She’s so soft, squishy and sweet natured, and you can really see that with some time, trust and training she will grow into a wonderful companion. She wants to trust and make friends, she just needs a bit of reassurance and confidence building.

Raina is very playful and loves playing out in the paddock with her sister and the other kennel dogs. She mixes into a group well and loves to be a part of the fun. She also has quite the burst of speed on her once she gets going! Raina always wants whichever toy Mischa has, and she’s a cheeky little thief, taking any opportunity to run off with it if Mischa looks away for a moment!

Raina is food oriented and gets very excited when the treats come out. She would definitely respond well to some basic training with food as the reward. She doesn’t yet have very much experience on the lead so that will be something her new family will need to work on, but it will come with time and routine.

Raina would be best suited to a semi-rural home with a relatively calm household atmosphere. She needs a home with a garden and a moderately active lifestyle, and someone dedicated to giving her the patience and understanding she needs as she adjusts to a companion lifestyle. Although it’s not compulsory, Raina would settle in more quickly to a home with a resident dog we believe.

Raina is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
