About Odin
Our stunner Odin arrived at the shelter almost five months ago when the dog warden brought him in off the streets after finding him roaming as a stray. He is a charming two year old Pointer mix, perhaps with a little spaniel in the gene pool, and although his days of wandering the streets are behind him, he’s still desperately waiting to find his new family.
Odin has a heart of gold and a fun-loving, trusting and friendly nature. He melts into your arms as though he’s known you for years, when in reality he’s only known you about five minutes. He thinks everyone is a friend to be made and he loves being fussed over by anyone and everyone. He’s a complete love bug and loves a cuddle more than anything.
Currently, Odin shares his kennel with several other dogs and gets along well with them all. Although we think he’s be happy as part of a multi-dog household, we also think he would relish the opportunity to be the centre of attention if he was the only dog in the home. He’d never say no to being in the spotlight! We also think he would be more than happy in a home with children, ideally aged 5+. As far as we’re aware he’s not lived alongside children before, but as he’s so people focused we think he would enjoy having small human friends to play with.
Considering Odin’s estimated breed mix, it’s not surprise that he’s often quite energetic and would be best suited to a moderately active household that can match his zest for play and adventure. He would flourish in a home with a garden and a semi-rural setting where he can explore, run, and explore the outdoors. As is engrained in the Pointer DNA, Odin is known for being soppy and full of affection, so prepare yourself for countless cuddles and a lack of personal space as he squeezes onto the sofa with you at any given opportunity.
Odin is a really lovely balance of intelligent and goofy - one moment showcasing his smarts and the next displaying his playful, silly side. He’s eager to learn new tricks, explore new places, and, most importantly, be part of a loving family. Given the opportunity we think Odin will really flourish as a companion and someone is going to be very lucky to call him their own.
Odin is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. He is ready to travel once he finds his forever home.
Please note, any mention of breed is nothing more than an educated guess based on what we know about the dog, their appearance, behaviour, and common breeds in their country of origin. We can never guarantee breed specifics, nor can we confirm the exact age of our dogs, unless they were born in our care. Age estimations are made by our vets based on the development of the dog, their general health and energy, and assessing their teeth.
