About Percy

Percy is a charming two year old gent who was rescued from a grim future at a public pound in Bosnia. He’s thought to be a terrier/hound mix and he has a cheeky personality and a heart full of love. He has been flourishing in the care of the shelter and is now ready to find his forever home.

Percy is a social butterfly and loves nothing more than being around people. He’s happy just chilling out in their presence, listening to them chat among themselves, and lying on the grass at their feet. He just wants to be involved. He is happiest however when he’s the centre of attention of course, and he absolutely loves a cuddle. He has boundless affection, and he loves nothing more than climbing into your lap for the ultimate cuddle session. With his short stature and stocky 16kg frame, Percy has a fairly unique build - low to the ground but sturdy and full of energy.

One of Percy’s best traits is his love for children. He’s especially fond of slightly older kids who can shower him with affection while still being gentle and not getting over-excited. He appreciates predictability and would love a home with kids around 8+ who can become his new best friends. Although he gets along well with other dogs, Percy’s confident and outgoing personality means he’d also be perfectly content as the only dog in the household. When it comes to cats, he’s tolerant, but a more skittish feline may spark a chase.

Percy would adapt wonderfully to a home just outside the city, ideally with a garden where he can potter about. He’s an enthusiastic walker who enjoys being outside and would love access to nearby green spaces for his daily walks, where he can sniff through the dirt and leaf piles to his heart’s content.

This affectionate, people-loving pup is looking for a family that can match his energy and provide the love and attention he’s so desperate for. He would be a lovely addition to a more laidback lifestyle, and as long as he’s in receipt of plenty of fuss, lots of treats, and a good trot about outside each day, this little guy will be super happy in his new home.

Percy is currently based in Bosnia and has a clean bill of health. He is ready to travel once he finds his forever home.
